The date of the beginning of this season varies according to climate, culture, and tradition, but when it is summer in the Northern Hemisphere it is winter in the Southern Hemisphere, and vice versa. In the Northern Hemisphere it usually begins about June 21st - the date of the summer solstice. It ends about September 23, the date of the autumnal equinox. Usually, July and August are the hottest months of this season. The southeastern and southern parts of Asia have very wet summers where it spans from March to June. Arrival of the Monsoons marks the end of the season. In a majority of countries, the vacations commence from the middle of May. In Australia these begin prior to Christmas. The nights are usually smaller than those of winter. It is a very good season for outdoor activities like vacationing, swimming or simply lazing on the beach. Various tropical fruits like pineapples or watermelons are abundant in this period. Crops, trees and other plants reach their full maturity. Because children are usually out of school during the summer, it's often a time for family vacations or day trips. The warmer temperatures are an invitation to spend more time outdoors — playing, hiking, or just relaxing. The beach is a favorite destination for a lot of people. Some visit water parks or amusement parks. Others prefer to explore nature and camp out.Download the app and get your lovely phone background inspired by your favorite season of the year!
